Patrick founded MidMarket after serving as Philadelphia Head of the Fleet M&A Advisors unit of the Capital Markets Group of Fleet Securities, Inc. following the acquisition by FleetBoston Financial Corporation of the investment banking boutique Howard, Lawson & Co. LLP where he was a partner and joined in 1979.
He focuses primarily on M&A strategic transactions for closely-held middle market companies controlled most often by families or owner-managers. Investment banking and advisory projects range from exclusive agent in the sale of private companies to buy-side advisory for private and public companies and independent advice to fiduciaries. He also has developed an expertise in US-China M&A.
Mr. Hurley is the former Chairman of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) which has 11,400 members in 48 chapters throughout North America and Europe. He also serves on the board of directors of American Refining Group, Inc. and the Family Firm Institute. Patrick earned his MBA from Drexel University and a BBA from Temple University.
